Is it ok for screenwriters to be bias?
Yes the they are, for a lot of reasons, one it may be necessary for the story being told, for example if it’s about race it’s needed for the story, of course the writer themselves may not share the views, however for a story to be compelling the viewer needs to believe what their seeing, and history is riddled with bias, as well as the modern world, so to be believable bias is needed, however their should be a counterbalance of course going against it the audience agrees with, someone who represents morality in the story/ the story needs to develop, another reason is it’s freedom of speech, so things like political views are of course ok, which also brings it to religious views which is also ok because we’ve come to the agreement that everyone has their own reception on subjects so just because theirs a film with allegoric meaning doesn’t mean that their going to convert tomorrow after seeing it, also if everyone has the same opinions and everything that someone disagrees with/ isn’t politically correct the thought police censor, then it would be very boring and there would be no individuality.
